Special Coverage’s Radio Diaries

Since September 11th, Special Coverage has been airing the personal stories of Americans whose individual lives have been impacted by the terrorist attacks and their aftermath. The teacher on Manhattan’s Lower East Side struggling to explain to her students why their city was attacked. The Time magazine columnist paranoid that every sniffle was indicative of anthrax. Filmmaker Michael Moore’s thoughts as he drives across the country back home to New York City because he can’t get a flight after Sept. 11th. An American who grew up in Afghanistan envisions a brighter future for his homeland. This hour, Special Coverage tells the story of the historic events that have taken place since September 11th through the personal tales featured in our radio diaries.
