Still Segregated After All These Years
Nearly 50 years after Brown vs. Board of Education made school segregation illegal, America’s schools haven’t delivered on the vision of integrationists.
White flight, growing minority populations and a few key court decisions have undercut gains made between 1950-1980. A recent report from Harvard’s Civil Rights Project examines trends towards re-segregation.
