The World According to Pete Seeger

He’s been called the “father of contemporary American folk music,” “the conscience of America,” and “America’s tuning fork.” For 60 years, singer, songwriter, activist, and peace advocate Pete Seeger has been singing out whether it’s for civil rights, against the Vietnam War, or for a cleaner environment. Bill Clinton described him as “an inconvenient artist who dared to sing things as he saw them… He was attacked for his beliefs and he was banned from television — now that’s a badge of honor.” Pete Seeger has just released his first single for air play in 30 years dedicated to the late Martin Luther King Jr. Tonight, the world according to Pete Seeger.
