Arab World Sentiment on the War

Saddam’s message, given today through the Iraqi information minister, was filled with Islamic religious rhetoric calling for jihad against the U.S.-led troops in Iraq. There have been reports that volunteer fighters are pouring into Iraq from neighboring Syria and Jordan. Rami Khouri, editor of the Daily Star, an English language newspaper in Beirut, comments on the credibility of these reports, and whether Iraq is really succeeding in rallying the Arab world against the U.S.
