The alarms seem to be everyone now. From the shadows of the U.S.-led war in Iraq, Al Qaeda is back. Two deadly attacks in Saudi Arabia and Morocco in the last two weeks, have cast shadows on the statement made by the Bush administration recently that Al Qaeda is on the run.

According to Rohan Gunaratna, author of “Inside Al Qaeda: Global Network of Terror,” the war in Iraq has made the Muslims in the region very angry at the U.S. and terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda are trying to capitalize on this renewed anger to strike back at U.S. targets.

Louise Richardson, Executive Dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies, Al Qaeda is concentrating on hitting soft targets, and the chances of terrorist attacks at the scale of 9-11 are very unlikely.
