The Grand “Young” Party
photo

Among college campuses across the country, a new movement of conservatism is taking over. Dorm room walls, once adorn with peace signs and rock and roll banners are being replaced by American Flags, and gigantic posters of Reagan and Bush.

On campus, students are flocking to many right wing groups including College Republicans, United We Stand and Young Americans for Freedom. Tonight we take a look at the New Young Republican and what’s fueling the conservative movement on campus.

Guests:

Dan Glickman, Director of Harvard University’s Institute of Politics and former US Cabinet Secretary and member of Congress

John Colapinto, Regular contributor to Rolling Stone magazine and author of the New York Times Magazine cover story “The Young Hipublicans”

Charles Mitchell, junior at Bucknell University and founding member of the Bucknell University Conservatives Club

Corinne Schwarz, Recent graduate from the University of Wyoming, now running for co-chairman of the College Republican National Committee

Manny Espinoza, Director of Public Relations for the Leadership Institute’s Campus Leadership Program.
