
An elaborate sting operation involving Russian, British and American law enforcement has lead to the arrest of Hemant Lakhani, a British arms broker. But what does the arrest mean to airline travelers in America? The case reveals both a functioning security apparatus and vulnerabilities at the same time. In order to further protect travelers airlines would have to spend billions, and even then planes would not be immune to attack from shoulder fired missiles.
