Bush in New Hampshire

President Bush spoke to the New Hampshire Air National Guard in Portsmouth, New Hampshire today. The Granite State was the only Northeastern state to vote for Bush in the 2000 presidential election. And next year, Americans will decide if they like the job he’s doing.

The state of the economy and the war in Iraq are not popular issues with the American public right now. And Bush’s poll numbers are markedly down. But George Bush has shown himself to be a fighter, and he struck a fighting pose today in New Hampshire, where he laid out the message and image he is bound to carry across the country over the next year.
