Disney’s Michael Eisner has gone from hero to villain in a real-life story of large egos and fierce corporate wrangling.

Under Eisner, Disney’s market value soared from $2 billion when he became CEO in 1984 to $67 billion in 1997. But since then Eisner’s star has faded, Disney’s market value dropped to $44 billion and board members are asking for Eisner to step down.

Tonight, On Point: Michael Eisner’s management of the Magic Kingdom.

Guests:

Kim Masters covers Hollywood for National Public Radio. She is author of “The Keys to the Kingdom: How Michael Eisner Lost His Grip” and is a former Vanity Fair contributing editor.
