Turning the Lens on Errol Morris
photo

Filmmaker Errol Morris has an affinity for the naive and appalling. In his break-out documentary, “Fast, Cheap and Out of Control,” he showed us just a few of the bizarre and passionate dwellers from the American fringe. “Thin Blue Line,” exposed the crooked system which put an innocent man on death row –and helped set him free.

Now, Morris brings us “The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons From the Life of Robert S. McNamara,” a study of one of the 20th century’s most controversial figures. We turn the lens on the remarkable career of Errol Morris.

Guests:

Errol Morris, documentary fim director and producer

Samantha Power, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, author of recent New York Times op-ed on Robert S. McNamara;
Michael Renov, Professor in the school of Cinema-Television at the University of Southern California and author of the forthcoming book, “The Subject of Documentary.”
