Vicente Fox’s Mexico
photo

President Bush is in Monterey, Mexico for the second annual Summit of the Americas. Not the least of his goals for the summit is to rekindle relations with his Mexican counterpart.

Three years after unseating the PRI which ran Mexico for over seven decades, Vicente Fox is half way through his six-year term. He rose to power on a reform platform. In many ways, he has not delivered on promises of reshaping both the government and its relationship with the United States. On Point examines Vicente Fox’s Mexico.

Guests:

Maura Reynolds, White House Correspondent for the Los Angeles Times

Chappell Lawson, Associate Professor of Political Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Jose Garcia Aguilar, head of the International Relations Department at the University of the Americas, Puebla Mexico.
