Costco has the reputation of having the best benefits in the retail sector. Employee loyalty is high. Customers get top-notch treatment. It’s a business model that’s making many Wall Street analysts wonder when the company will get its act together. Generous pay packages may be good for employees, but they’re not necessarily good for the bottom line. Employees, shareholders and the free markets.
