The Commission investigating the 9/11 attacks held their final public hearing today in Washington. The chief of U.S. air defenses testified that all 4 planes could have been shot down before they hit their targets if communication among government agencies had been better. The Commission also played a tape of lead hijacker Mohammed Atta speaking to passengers over Flight 11’s intercom.
Peter Grier, Washington editor for the Christian Science Monitor, discusses in more detail what was revealed at today’s hearings.
