Bush’s Eulogy to Ronald Reagan

The nation said its last goodbyes to President Ronald Reagan today, during a poignant, pageantry-filled funeral at Washington’s National Cathedral. Both President Bushes were in attendance, along with Presidents Ford, Carter, and Clinton and their wives. Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev was there, along with Britain’s Margaret Thatcher and King Abdullah of Jordan.

The final eulogy was read by President George W. Bush. “Ronald Reagan belongs to the ages now, but we preferred it when he belonged to us,” Bush told those gathered.
