Carrying the Olympic Torch

With opening ceremonies less than two months away, the Olympic flame is making its way across Europe this week. Massachusetts resident John Bauters was selected to carry the torch when it came to New York City this past weekend. The 24-year-old law student was given the honor based on the humanitarian work he has done in Africa, South America, and the U.S.

In this radio diary, John Bauters says the experience of carrying the torch showed him that the Olympic dream is alive and well.
