Halliburton Whistleblowers Tell All
photo

Five former Halliburton employees are blowing the whistle on the behemoth military subcontractor that current vice president Dick Cheney ran for five years. Your tax dollars, they charge, have paid for embroidered towels for Halliburton employees and housed consultants in super-expensive Kuwaiti hotels.

Halliburton, they say, is a culture of fear, intimidation and secrecy. When these former employees complained, they were told to keep quiet or risk losing their jobs.

Click the “Listen” link to hear about Halliburton’s pricing, spending, and employee relations policies.

Guests:

Joshua Chaffin, reporter for the Financial Times

Henry Waxman, U.S. Congressman (D-CA), ranking minority member on the Congressional Committee on Government Reform, which held hearings on Halliburton last week.

Marie de Young, former logistics and operations writer for Halliburton at Camp Udairi in Kuwait

Henry Bunting, ordered supplies ranging from towels to trucks for U.S. troops in Iraq, stationed in Kuwait with Halliburton from June 2003 to August 2003

Dan Briody, author of “The Halliburton Agenda: The Politics of Oil and Money” and “The Iran Triangle: Inside the Secret World of the Carlyle Group.”
