A new Washington Post/ ABC News poll shows that President Bush is losing support on the war on terror. Since April 2004, approval for Bush’s handling of terrorism has dropped 13 points, putting him on a nearly even ground with Democratic rival John Kerry on the issue that has defined Bush’s presidency.
To Boston University Professor of International Relations Andrew Bacevich, even calling the battle against terrorism a “war” is a misnomer. He says that real wars entail sacrifice and upheaval. In this radio diary, Andrew Bacevich argues that the war on terrorism is a war in name only.
