Battleground States’ Reaction to the DNC
photo

After four days of foot-stomping delegates, big parties and big speeches, the Democratic National Convention wrapped up last night with John Kerry’s acceptance speech and a rapturous response from the party faithful.

But just how strong that wave is or whether it will give Kerry the votes he really needs — the votes in battleground states — has yet to be seen.

Click one of the “Listen” links to hear voices from the battleground states on their reaction to this week’s Democratic National Convention.

Christopher Hill: U.S. Troop Withdrawal ‘On Schedule’

U.S. Ambassaor to Iraq Christopher Hill spoke with On Point live from Baghdad today as early voting gets underway, part of the run-up to Sunday’s elections. “So far so good,” Hill said, despite scattered violence.
