With new terrorism warnings dominating headlines, President Bush and Democratic challenger John Kerry have been trading barbs over who will best protect the American people from terrorist attack. Both candidates campaigned in Midwestern battleground states over the weekend.
At a rally in Canton, Ohio, Bush said fighting terrorism requires strong, decisive action, which he has taken. At an appearance in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kerry said the administration has lacked a sense of urgency in dealing with the terrorist threat.
