Two days ago, President Bush announced the biggest troop realignment since the Cold War before the annual convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cincinnati, OH. Today, his Democratic opponent, John Kerry, used the same venue to blast Bush’s plan.
Bush said he wants to withdraw 70,000 troops from Europe and Asia over the next ten years. Kerry told the VFW today that “nobody wants to bring troops home more than those of us who have fought in foreign wars. But it needs to be done at the right time and in the right way.”
Tune in to hear more of Kerry’s address, as well as commentary from Joe Hallet, chief political writer at the Columbus Dispatch, who was at Kerry’s speech today.
