Kerry on Iraq
photo

President Bush has repeatedly misled the American public and compiled a “long litany of misjudgments with terrible consequences,” said Senator John Kerry in a major speech about Iraq today at New York University.

Kerry called the invasion “a colossal failure of judgment” and said that the president was in “major denial.” And for the first time, Kerry offered a four point list of what he might do in the oval office about Iraq. But Republicans are still accusing Kerry, who voted to give Bush the authority to go to war, of waffling on the issue.

Hear John Kerry’s latest statements on Iraq and reaction from both sides.

Guests:

Matea Gold, reporter for the Los Angeles Times covering the Kerry campaign

James Rubin, senior policy advisor to John Kerry

Danielle Pletka, vice president, foreign and domestic Policy studies at The American Enterprise Institute
