Candidate John Kerry Up Close
photo

Voters may know where Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry stands on the issues but many of them feel they still do not know the man behind the candidate.

New York Times Magazine writer Matt Bai had the unique opportunity to sit down with John Kerry. Bai describes a man that is guarded, and has become increasingly so because of this campaign. But Bai says Kerry has clear ideas about policy making, and he’s stuck to them.

Hear a conversation with Matt Bai on presidential candidate John Kerry, the war on terror, and the issue of leadership in the final days of the presidential campaign.

Guests:

Matt Bai, contributing writer, New York Times Magazine. His most recent article is titled, “Kerry’s Undeclared War”

Jack Beatty, news analyist for On Point, senior editor at the Atlantic Monthly magazine.
