Iraq and the Election
photo

Last weekend was another bloody one in Iraq after an ambush took the lives of 50 newly trained Iraqi security forces. Fresh reporting also indicates that up to 380 tons of highly explosive material has been looted from an arms dump that was believed to have been guarded by the American military.

The war in Iraq is becoming more intense by the week and with the U.S. presidential election just over a week away, both candidates are pressing their positions.

Tune in to hear about the plans Bush and Kerry’s camps have to find a way out of Iraq, and how their plans will affect the election results.

Guests:

Andrew Kohut, Director of the Pew Research Center for The People & The Press

Peter Boyer, writer for The New Yorker magazine

David Corn, Washington editor of The Nation magazine

Karl Zinsmeister, editor in chief of The American Enterprise.
