Primarily New Hampshire

It’s now just two weeks until Election Day 2004. It has been a long campaign, one that began almost 2 years ago, when the first campaign workers set up shop in the wintry streets of New Hampshire. Photographer Meryl Levin and campaign veteran Will Kanteres spent a year documenting the New Hampshire campaign, and the workers who devoted 12 harried months working for their candidates. Some were college students who took time off from school. Many were complete political novices inspired by a candidate.

Levin and Kanteres recorded the workers’ stories and photos in the new book “Primarily New Hampshire.” In this radio diary, Meryl Levin and Will Kanteres discuss some of the remarkable people they met during their year following the New Hampshire primary.
