The Supreme Court’s Unusual Agenda

The Supreme Court began its new term today in Washington. In an unusual move on opening day, the Court heard two hours of argument on sentencing guidelines that allow judges to boost sentences based on their own fact-finding, rather than those determined by a jury. And that was just the top of the high court’s agenda.

Hear from David Savage, Supreme Court reporter for the Los Angeles Times, who was at the Court today.
