The US Postal Service has issued a new set of commemorative cloud stamps. The “Cloudscapes” stamps feature photographs of nine different cloud formations including one photo of a cloud, Cumulonimbus with tornado, which is the only picture to be shot by an amateur photographer. Edi Ann Otto of Osnabrock, North Dakota took the picture when a tornado cloud passed near her family farm. It was one photo of twenty, many of which have been published around the world.
In this radio diary, Edi Ann Otto recalls the day that the tornado came and how it came to be the subject of a US postage stamp.
