photo

Voter registration for the 2004 U.S. presidential election is up. Passions are white-hot on both sides of the political aisle, and there is no guarantee this election will not be resolved yet again by the U.S. courts.

But, regardless of how long the election itself may drag out, Campaign 2004 will be over by the time the polls close on Election Day 2004.

Hear a conversation with top political reporters and watchers on where the U.S. presidential candidates and the media got it right and wrong, and how the U.S. voters have been served.

Guests:

Jeanne Shaheen, national campaign chair for the Kerry campaign

Ken Melman, Bush campaign director

Allan Lichtman, presidential historian, professor of history at The American University

Anne Kornblut, national correspondent for The Boston Globe, covering the campaign

Jack Germond, syndicated columnist, author of Fat Man Fed Up: How American Politics Went Bad

William Kristol, co-editor of The Weekly Standard

Michael Massing, contributing editor at the Columbia Journalism Review.
