
The fight for control of Fallujah has moved quickly, with U.S.-led forces killing at least 71 insurgents in the last three days. In retaliation for the siege, car bombs and attacks have taken place in Baghdad and across central and northern Iraq, while Al Jazeera has aired a videotape purportedly showing captive Iraqi soldiers with masked insurgents promising to kill any Iraqi soldiers captured in the future.
