The Legacy of Dr. Alfred Kinsey
photo

Dr. Alfred Kinsey, also known as Dr. Sex, revolutionized the way Americans thought about sex. His meticulous sex surveys, now known as the Kinsey Report, offered the first statistical analysis of human sexuality.

Classrooms filled with crowds of students eager to take the professor’s marriage course. He inspired Hugh Hefner, and Cole Porter immortalized him in song. But Kinsey was and is not without detractors who call his work dangerous and immoral.

Tune in to hear about the life and legacy of Indiana University sex researcher, Dr. Alfred Kinsey.

Guests:

Jonathan Gathorne-Hardy, author of “Kinsey: Sex, the Measure of All Things” and consultant during the filming of “Kinsey”

Fred Berlin, founder of the Johns Hopkins University Sexual Disorders Clinic and associate professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine

T.C. Boyle, author of the novel “The Inner Circle”.
