Recruiting in a Time of War

Today, the U.S. announced that it plans to expand its military force in Iraq to a record 150 thousand before the planned national elections next month. For the first time since the Vietnam war, the military is facing a sustained conflict with an all-volunteer force.

There have been increasing allegations that the Pentagon and other branches of the U.S. military are strategically targeting future soldiers in high school and college campuses.

Hear a discussion on whether Pentagon’s recruitment strategies are fair for the new service personnel or if they need to change.
