The Bush administration and the United Nations are in a high-stakes struggle over the Oil-for-Food program in Iraq and Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Last week, Senator Norm Coleman urged Annan to resign but today the Bush administration anncounced its support for the Secretary General.

Prominent world figures have called the attacks on Annan “reprehensible.” Annan, on the other hand, has used his position to voice opinions that have not been palatable to many prominent politicians.

Tune in for a look at the standoff with U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Guests:

Phillip Gourevitch, staff writer for the New Yorker

Brian Urquhart, former Undersecretary General of the United Nations

Claudia Rosett, journalist at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
