
Earlier today the House and Senate convened for a state-by-state tally and certification of the electoral votes from last November’s presidential election. Vice President Dick Cheney presided over the meeting in his role as President of the Senate.
The process went smoothly until Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs-Jones of Ohio, filed a formal objection to the vote-counting process in her state.
