The 109th Congress and Bush’s Agenda

In last November’s elections, George W. Bush got re-elected to the White House and his Republican party won both the U.S. House and Senate.

But when the 109th U.S. Congress convenes tomorrow, Bush will need all his powers of persuasion and his party’s backing to push through a second-term agenda that includes major tax reforms, big changes to social security, and controversial judicial nominations.

Tune in to hear about the challenges the new Bush administration will face in pushing its agenda through the Republican-controlled 109th Congress.
