photo

The Bush Administration announced today that the president will hit the road on a 60-day, 60-stop tour to push his agenda for changing social security. Also today, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan gave the president’s drive a boost by again endorsing private retirement accounts.

Bush needs all the help he can get. GOP lawmakers got an earful when they went home to their districts last month. Democrats are united in their opposition. House Majority Leader Bill Frist now won’t even say when he’ll bring legislation to the floor.

Christopher Babington, Congressional correspondent for the Washington Post, talks about the latest on Bush’s drive to reform Social Security.

Guests:

Christopher Babington covers Congress for The Washington Post.
