The Investment Dilemma
photo

President Bush hopes to push more Americans into investing in the stock market, waving the flag of the ownership society. But stock and real estate prices are high. The low long-term interest rates have pushed the prices of bonds way up as well.

Even financial experts can’t agree with one another on what to do. If experts can’t decide on the best investment strategy, it leaves the average American investor pretty stranded and without an answer to where he should put his money.

Hear some of the country’s top financial thinkers on what to do to prepare for the future.

Guests:

Paul Lim, financial correspondent for U.S. News and World Report, contributing writer to the New York Times Sunday Business Section

Jeremy Siegel, professor of Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, author of “The Future for Investors: Why the Tried and True Triumph”

Zvi Bodie, professor of finance and economics at Boston University’s School of Management, author of “Worry Free Investing: A Safe Approach to Achieving Your Lifetime Financial Goals”

Mark Zandi, chief economist of economy.com.
