Known as Mr. TV, Haim Yavin has been a trusted and unbiased news anchor for Israel’s Channel One for more than thirty years. His opinions were kept so close to his chest that some wondered whether he had them at all. That question was answered unequivocally with the airing of his controversial documentary series “Land of the Settlers.”

The series features footage from a hand-held camera as the 72-year-old anchor walks the occupied territories documenting the suffering of the Palestinian people. His treatment of Israeli settlers and condemnation of the occupation have created a firestorm of controversy, particularly due to his prominent role as a television anchor.

Hear a conversation with Israel’s Mr. TV, Haim Yavin.
