When 10-year-old Talia Leman of Waukee, Iowa first learned about the thousands of people who lost everything to Hurricane Katrina, she decided she needed to do something, even though she had never been to the Gulf Coast and didn’t know anyone who lived there. With the help of her family and friends, and of UNICEF, which appointed her a National Youth Ambassador, she reached out to schools across the country for help and raised a phenomenal amount of money.

Guests:

Talia Leman launched the national fundraising campaign “Trick-or-Treat for the Levee Catastrophe”
