Life as A Man
photo

By host Tom Ashbrook:

Writer Nora Vincent is a lanky five-ten tall and wears a size eleven-and-a-half shoe. With a voice on the low side, she’s a born tomboy. For eighteen months, she put all that together with a change of clothes, a macho haircut, and fake stubble to pose — pretty effectively — as a man.

She bowled as a man with men. She dated women as a man. She worked as a man among desperate salesmen. She beat a drum in the woods with sweaty men.

Now Vincent’s out to tell the story of what it’s like to be a “he.” Bottom line — this woman ended up with a lot of sympathy for the American man.

Hear about the life of men, as lived by and told by a woman.

Guests:

Nora Vincent, author of the new book, “Self-Made Man.”
