By host Tom Ashbrook:

Pulitzer-prize winning reporter David Remnick took the top editing job at the New Yorker magazine nearly seven years ago. But he can’t stop grabbing his notebook and heading out of town.

He’s out with a big new collection of intimate profiles of the great and powerful and out-of-power, from Vladimir Putin to Philip Roth to Mike Tyson. He’s got Solzhenitsyn in exile, Katherine Graham in her glory days, Al Gore eating eggs in the wilderness, Mike Tyson chewing the ear off Evander Holyfield in Vegas.

Remnick also has a record, at The New Yorker, of saying yes to the war in Iraq, then pummeling George Bush as things have gone bad.

Hear from the man at the helm of the New Yorker, David Remnick.

Guests:

David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker magazine and author of the new memoir “Reporting.”
