Ken Lay Dies

Enron founder Kenneth Lay has died of a heart attack in Colorado while awaiting sentencing on fraud and conspiracy charges. He was 64 years old.

Lay, along with former Enron executive Jeffery Skilling, was convicted of conspiracy and securities and wire fraud in May in one of the biggest business scandals in U.S. history. Lay was to be sentenced in September and faced the possibility of life in prison.
