By host Tom Ashbrook:
Lots of rockets were flying this week — all over America, as Americans celebrated the 4th; over Cape Canaveral, as the space shuttle roared up once again — safe, we hope; over the Middle East, as Israel and the Palestinians took the gloves off; and, briefly, over the Pacific as North Korea test-fired a breed of rocket that could, one day, reach the USA with nuclear weapons.
We look at those fireworks this hour and immigration, big tobacco, Ken Lay, and murder/rape charges against a US trooper in Iraq with David Ignatius of the Washington Post, Trudy Rubin of the Philadelphia Inquirer, and On Point’s Jack Beatty.
Guests:
David Ignatius, columnist for The Washington Post
Trudy Rubin, columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer
Jack Beatty, On Point News Analyst, senior editor at The Atlantic Monthly magazine
