Pat Buchanan on Immigration
photo

By host Tom Ashbrook:

It’s only two months to midterm election day, and Republicans are in such a bitter standoff over immigration that most don’t even want to talk about it anymore. But Pat Buchanan wants to talk about it. In fact, he’s yelling at the top of his lungs.

The conservative populist and three-time White House aspirant is in a hot sweat over illegal immigrants and what he sees as the looming downfall of the United States. “State of Emergency,” is what he calls it in his new book — “The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America.”

Critics call it racist and xenophobic. Pat Buchanan says he’s telling it like it is.

Hear Pat Buchanan paint his immigration “state of emergency” and critics push back.

Quotes from the Show:

“The immediate threat is the spanishization of the American Southwest.” Pat Buchanan

“Millions of these people [today's immigrants] are not coming to be Americans but to work.” Pat Buchanan

“Any troublemaker including those leading a political demonstration who is not an American citizen I would deport.” Pat Buchanan

“There have been Hispanics in America for as long as there have been Buchanans.” Cecilia Munoz

“What he [Buchanan] means by Western in not Western but white.” Cecilia Munoz
