The terrorists of 9/11 were also condemned by PLO leaders. Some see America as an oppressor because we support one in the Middle East.

My guess is that any Palestinian kid that was flying a kite in Gaza last week would have been the target of an Israeli missile and treated as a justifiable target.

I think we all need to remember that the day after 9/11 the people of Gaza and most Palestinians danced in the streets. You can condemn Israel for the over reaction that they have done in Gaza but we must remember how we are dealing with. I watched the video Nat linked to and it’s not surprising to me. Hamas like the Taliban are against any expression of happiness be it music or flying kites.

Hamas are extremist and they are the scourge of humanity.

Politicians, the media, & academics want to continue the charade that this is about land, about ”national liberation”, anything but face the truth – it is & has always been about Jihad.
It is reverberating around the Islamic world from one end to the other. It is openly preached in thousands of mosques. not just in Muslim countries, but in the West as well.
This conflict has always been about Jihad & nothing else. It has nothing to do with a two-state solution – it has only to do with the existence of a non-Muslim state in the Middle-East.
Make no mistake – they are using anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, anti-Jewish propaganda as a tool – because of anti-Semitism in the West, especially Europe, jews are the most vulnerable beginning of Jihad against the West generally.
There is that famous quote, ‘First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.” I should also include Hindus, Buddhists, & everyone else.
Every religious minority in the Muslim world is persecuted – Copts in Egypt, Christians in all the Arab countries, Assyrians, Yazidis, Bahais, Buddhists in Malaysia.
But all this is studiously avoided by the politically correct politicians, media, & ”Middle-East experts”

r.m. arguements ares as silly as his posting, he makes references will no backing(p.r. propaganda does not count as evidences) than denies that civilians are being killed by isreal, denies israel treatment to arabs in israel, states their no problem in taking land people are on as long as u think it was yours 1000 years ago, and how dare u say otherwise, denies israel collective punishment and unjust treatment towards gazans and even the arabs who peacefully protested in israel, he refers to a youtube video of children wearing hamas gear and their charter, but neglects to tell that israel is doing far worst than whats in there charter and israel is by doing so surging up hamas support by killing women, children, civilians innocents,

I do recall when one country or group intentionally destroys a another group way to sustain itself, it does fall into war crimes, along with collective punishment of a whole group of people, dont forget the raid in November by israel which killed 6 gazans, causing gazans to fire rockets, than than another raid which lead to hamas saying there be no cease-fire, along with not lifting the blockade

I have no problem if you’d interview Hamas spokesmen, listeners ought to get the correct impression. But presenting this “Senior Editor” from Hanover, NH as an objective and informed commentator is ridiculous.

And Jack – w/r to the difinition of “terrorism”: what would you call 7000 rockets lobbed indiscrimanetly on a civilian population? how would you feel if they were lobbed in your neighborhood?

sam there was a attack on the wtc in 1993 or so, can bushed failed to stop the second much more devastating one, along with wire taping, socializing our banks with public money(privat profits, public loss) exp. my bank(investment) got 2 billion, supposedly for lending and clearing up credit, to take the money pay out bonus, and outsource alot of the jobs to india,but explain on the news and by herry parlson was only for banks to lean to people and get the credit going again,

but back to bush, where in a great crisis he could of brought the nation together and told use and given a speech about working together to make the nation great and rebuild, instead he told use to shop and not worry, than using faulty intelligence to bring us to iraq, record oil prices, politicizing the justice department, only guy that got busted libby is pardon, reducing our moral capital and standing in the world to almost nothing, constantly spinning and twisting the truth to fit his agenda even when found to be lies(kind of like what israel is doing)also the politicizing and racism in the civil liberties department appointee be bush, not to forget the Hurricane K episode
