Ukranian Carols for the Holidays

Last month, the world’s attention turned to the disputed election in the Ukraine. This Sunday, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich faces a run-off election against opposition leader, Viktor Yushchenko.

But Ukraine is also known for its great holiday music tradition. The women of the choral group Kitka perform folk songs from many Eastern European countries, including Ukraine. Hear from director Shira Cion about the traditional Ukrainian holiday music that Kitka performs.
