Debate Over Intelligent Design
Aired: Wednesday, August 10, 2005 10-11AM ET

Among scientists, Darwin's theory of evolution is still the accepted story of how living things came to be, but now proponents of Intelligent Design are claiming that they can stump Darwin: life, they say, is simply too complicated to have arrived by chance.

Scientists say Intelligent Design is just a tarted up version of creationism, and that it'll set back the progress conservatives have made to bring religion back into the public square.

George Gilder foists the Intelligent Design case upon the scientific establishment using what he says is one of its own tools: Information Theory. Richard Dawkins, perhaps the world's top Darwinist, says that's bunk.

Hear George Gilder on Intelligent Design and Richard Dawkins on Evolution back-to-back.
